BMW axes B-class rival

Instead, it will focus on a bigger, Mercedes R-class challenger, due in 2009. Lexus debuts dedicated HS 250h hybrid at the Detroit auto show

Lexus is no stranger to hybrids, with green offshoots of the GS and LS sedans and RX SUV currently in showrooms. However, joining them this summer is Lexus's first dedicated hybrid, the HS 250h, which made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. There was never any doubt that Rolls Royce would build a range of cars round the Ghost, with a coupe and convertible on the cards ever since the Rolls Royce Ghost arrived more than three years ago.
